Miss May
When Dolly asked me to be Miss May, I can't tell you how honored I felt. My name is Julie Ann Davis and I've known Dolly a long time. I remember when Dolly was in high school, she said “I'm going to make my own prom dress.” In my head I thought “Wow, she's either crazy or very ambitious.” Well, she's probably the most creative, organized, smart, talented, AND ambitious person I know!
Years passed and life, school, boyfriends, etc. got in the way, so as a result we lost touch, however I knew she was in the handbag business. Last year I had this grand idea...I'm going to open a retro, swing, rockabilly, pinup, punk, goth store and call it Cats Like Us. At the time, I wondered if Dolly was still creating her awesome one of a kind bags because I wanted to sell them at my store. The high quality retro fabrics and functional styles are perfect for my customers. Lucky for me she is! I'm so proud because Cats Like Us is one of the exclusive retailers of Dungaree Dolly Bags. They are consistently one of our top sellers and I can tell you why. It's because each piece has outstanding craftmanship and is obviously made with care and consideration.
