Q: Who makes Dolly Bags?

A: Dolly does! :) Everything is made from scratch right here in the USA (Buffalo, NY to be exact!). I have a super cute studio in my home and I get to design and sew all day - I am a very happy lady! For the most part, I am a one woman show - I take so much pride in what I do. Although, I could not do this without all of you and my loved ones. I appreciate every single one of you for supporting me and making my dreams come true!

Q: I love my new Dolly Bag! How can I become one of your Delighted Dolls?

A: Yay! Nothing more makes me happier! This is my favorite page on the entire site. Please email me a cute little note as to why you like it so much and I will post you on my website. Photos are always encouraged!

Q: Are Dolly Bags washable?

A: Yes! All cotton bags can be washed on the gentle cycle in your washing machine. I hang mine to dry and touch it up with a steamy iron. Vinyl bags can be cleaned with a damp cloth, please do not put your vinyl bags in the washing machine! Fancy bags with velvet, satin, or mesh fabric should also be spot treated with a damp cloth, do not put them in the washing machine.

Q: Can I get a specific strap length?

A: Of coarse! I want your Dolly Bag to be perfect just for you. A great way is to measure one of your favorite bags that you already have. Please make a note of your desired strap length in the comment field during check out.

Q: I really liked a certain fabric, but it’s not on the site anymore. Where did it go?

A: This means I am out of the fabric or it has been sadly discontinued. I highly suggest buying your Dolly Bag as soon as you can because my fabric supply can be very limited. If I get the fabric back in stock, it will be back on the site. If you want to get on a waiting list, email me the style purse and fabric you are after.

Q: What is a double inner pocket?

A: Most Dolly Bags have a flat pocket sewn in the lining with 2 compartments - great for cell phone, glasses, and other smaller things you might need at your fingertips.

Q: I see some bags come standard with a zippered pocket in the lining. Can I add this on to a bag that doesn’t come with one?

A: Of coarse! I can add a zippered pocket to the lining for a small fee of $8. Email me and we can arrange payment for you.

Q: I have this great fabric. Can I send it to you and you can make me a Dolly Bag?

A: YES! Mail me 1 yard and I can make you any style bag that I offer on the site for the listed price. I will also ship it to you for FREE! I prefer to work with cotton, other fabrics may require an extra charge. If you are not sure what kind of fabric it is, email me and I will be happy to help you out.

Q: I love one of your bags, but can I get a different color lining?

A: Yes! Make a note in the comment field what color lining you want. If I do not think it will work with the outer fabric, I will get in touch with you and we will work something out. Also, keep in mind I will only use certain fabrics for lining. Example: No Pink Tattoo lining in a Antique Tattoo Perfect Purse.

Q: I really want a ruffle purse, but I don’t see the fabric I want offered on that page. Help!

A: I carefully choose the best fabrics to work with a particular style. Allot of fabrics have a very large pattern repeat and don’t work with smaller bags. If you just can’t live without it, email me and we can talk about our options.

Q: I love the prints you use, but my taste is more conservative. Can you make a Solid color bag and then use a fun print on the inside?

A: Yes! I have many solid colors of canvas available that work great as the outer fabric in any style. I think it is great to have something basic on the outside, but still super fun and exciting on the inside. This way you can wear your Dolly Bag with just about everything. Email me and we can chat about it!

Q: I carry allot of stuff. Are Dolly Bags Durable?

A: Oh yes! I pride my work on not only fashion, but function as well! I have many customers that say they are very hard on their bags, but they still hold up to their daily abuse and look great. I ensure superior durability with several layers of stabilizers on the inside of every bag. I also use many reinforcement techniques to make sure these bags are built to last!

Q: How long does it take to get my Dolly Bag?

A: Because I make everything with lots of love, it can take anywhere between 1-4 weeks. I strive to make sure every Dolly Bag is just right for every customer. If you have a special event you wanted it for, please let me know and I will do what I can for you. When your order is on the way, I will email you so you can keep an eye out for the postman!

Q: What service do you use for shipping?

A: All US orders are shipped by Priority Mail through the US Postal Service. I love packing up Dolly Bags in really pretty tissue paper and I always include a little goody bag filled with candy! I want you to feel like it’s your birthday when you receive your Dolly package - you treated yourself and you deserve it! And most of all, I want you to know how much I appreciate you and your support :)

Q: I don’t live in the US, can I still order?

A: Yes! All International orders are shipped by Air Mail or Global Priority Mail, you can choose what method you prefer during checkout.

Q: Do you have a storefront?

A: Not yet girls! But, that is the goal. Someday I would love an addable pink boutique that me and my 2 pups can play in all day long! But, for now I run Dungaree Dolly’s out of my home.

Q: A while back you had a fabulous clothing line, will you ever offer it again?

A: I sure do hope so! I plan on getting back into clothing within in the next year or so. Stay tuned!

Q: How long has Dungaree Dolly’s been in business?

A: I started in March 2004, but I ave been sewing for almost 10 years!

Q: How did you learn to sew?

A: When I was 16 I wanted to make my prom dress (how very Molly Ringwold of me!). So, I took a basic sewing class in High School. Well, 3 dresses later, I knew I had the drive and desire to do this some day for a living. I kept at it and taught myself allot, but I learned the most while attending The International Academy of Design in Toronto, Canada. There I learned how to sew professionally, draft patterns, and allot about the business. Thank you Mom and Dad!

Q: Where do you get your fabrics?

A: I work directly with manufacturers to get the coolest prints!

Q: Do you offer Gift Certificates?

A: Yes! Just email me and I can arrange the sale for you.

A: Haha! I get this one a lot. Dolly is actually my nickname, my real name is Beth. So you call me whichever you like best! Beth Dolly is always cute, given to me by Miss Christine :)
